Water Rates & Policies

Listed below, you will find Smackover Municipal Waterworks' current water rates and policies. If you do not find the information you need, please contact our office and we will provide it for you. 

Should you experience a problem with your water, please call the phone numbers provided. We will do everything possible to locate the problem with your water.


 

SMACKOVER MUNICIPAL WATERWORKS 

RESIDENTIAL CONNECT FEES

 

NEW RESIDENTAL CUSTOMERS – Must fill out application with our office, have a photo ID and if renting we require a copy of rental agreement. A $150.00 deposit must be paid up front before service is established for any customer.

Rental Agreements are required to show physical address, name/names of all adults occupying the location, and date they will move in.

 

TRANSFER OF EXISTING RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMERS – Will pay a NON- REFUNDABLE $25.00 connect fee. If your account does not have the current deposit amount of $150 you will be required to bring it up to that amount.

  • Customers are required to pay the bill of their current address and a $25.00 transfer fee must be paid at the time the service is set up for their new address.

  • Customers have the option to have their current location service and new address on; however service to the current address can ONLY be serviced for 30 days. (If more than 30 days is needed a $150.00 deposit must be paid on the both locations.)

  • Renters are required to bring their Rental Agreement and it must include physical address, name/names of all adults occupying the location, and date they will be moving in.

  • Customers will be required to fill out a new application for the new service location and a photo ID is required.

     

     

  • Damaged Water Meter/ Equipment: Any damage to water meter or equipment is the responsibility of the account holder to pay, and damage fee will be added to water bill.

 

NEW CONSTRUCTION RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMERS – Must have the following information for Smackover Municipal Water in order to establish service.

  • A 911 address provided by 911 coordinator – (870) 864-1908

  • Sewer (or ADH approved disposal system) and Plumbing Permits by the City Inspector

  • A NON-REFUNDABLE Tap fee of $500.00 (5/8 or 1in) and a Consumer deposit of $150.00 is due when service is set up.

    Larger than 1” meter is actual cost.
